The Rhee and Scott Walker tag team set to appear at a Tea-Party backed convention

Michelle Rhee and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, big stars in the ultra-right wing firmament, will be featured at the arch-conservative American Federation for Children’s summit on May 9th in Washington, DC.  Rhee has publicly supported Walker’s education agenda.

AFC is closely linked to Tea Party figures and funders, the Koch Brothers, and currently employs a member of the Koch-backed Wisconsin Prosperity Network. It openly advocates for the end of public education. Wisconsinites received robo-calls from AFC this year urging voters not to support the recall of eight ultra-conservative Wisconsin state senators.

A recent investigation by Talk2Action.org uncovered AFC’s extensive astroturf effort to pass school voucher legislation in multiple states. Expanded voucher programs is a major Rhee lobby issue. Anyone with lingering doubts about her Rheepublicanism should look closely at the company she keeps.

One Response to “The Rhee and Scott Walker tag team set to appear at a Tea-Party backed convention”

  1. Michael Fiorillo says:

Not that I’d want to write anything that might help this sociopath in any way, but she might want to think twice about identifying too closely with the fascist wing of the Republican Party, unless she’s confident the Koch brothers will make up in funding what she might lose from Gates and Broad. My guess is they’d rather be seen as bipartisan and above the political fray.

The woman will self-destruct, guaranteed. How much damage she does beforehand is the question. Hopefully, when she shatters. some of her funders will get wounded, too.
